WINNER of Ecostore USA $25 Gift Certificate

Comment #3: Amy Lynne I would love to try the citrus spray cleaner or the toilet cleaner. I am so picky about chemical smells, I bet these would solve that problem!
Congratulations Amy Lynne! Just email me your full name and email address and I will have Ecostore USA send you a gift code to use. You can comment here or email me at jen(at)thethriftyhome(dot)com

Ecostore USA contacted me a while ago about trying a couple of their products and I was more than willing. Ecostore offers friendly, plant-based household cleaning products, along with body, baby, and even pet care. All products are made from plant- and mineral-based ingredients, and offers an environmentally safe solution that also helps to reduce our carbon footprint.

I am always searching for natural and safe alternatives to all of the chemical laden products out there. I have found a more natural and safe product for almost everything except my dishwasher. Every natural soap I try in my dishwasher leaves a film. I really wanted to use a more natural product on my dishes that we eat from, but have had to stick to chemical laden soap to get clean film free dishes. A few weeks ago this arrived at my door:
Even the packaging was eco friendly with soy packaging peanuts and recycled box and paper.

The dishsoap for hand washing is great. I love the smell of citrus and feel better knowing that there are no nasty chemicals, especially since my kids help wash dishes. It is also more concentrated than most dishsoap so you don't need to use as much, which means it will last longer.

Then I gave the rinse aid a try and used it with my natural dishwasher soap that leaves a white film on my dishes. I didn't have much hope because the white film that this soap left was pretty thick. I couldn't believe it when my dishes came out sparkling clean with no film or spots. I have been using the rinse aid for almost a month now with my natural dishwasher soap and LOVE it.
